Today is a holiday, but no one cares. It is a government mandated unpaid holiday, part of a decades-old economic stimulus plan -- but at least there was no hurry to wake up. Arthur Brown had time to dream.
The setting wasn't that long in the past, 2015 most likely. The computers were similar, but they still had pressure oriented keyboards and lacked the bluetooth that connected virtually every computer on earth these days. The people looked about the same, but they wore collared shirts and the older ones wore ties.

What could she have even thought?
All of her dreams it seemed she would lose
Everything worked for, for naught.
How did she feel?
I really don't know.
I legally wasn't there.
How did he feel when he got her call?
What must have run through his mind?
I bet the news drove him right up the wall,
Certain it wouldn't be fine.
How did he feel?
I only can guess,
Because I hadn't yet breathed the air.
